A billion years ago (...december of last year...) I e-mailed the photographer that took this knock-ya-back photo to ask his permission to use it on this here blog. He sad yes. I found that e-mail today. Thanks, Nich. It really is something. I'm ready for a snowstorm. Or a Friday working with 30 three-year-olds. same-same.
Photo by Nich McElroy. Go buy some of his art already.

Kindle? No, Thanks. Kindle Ad Campaign? Yes, Please.
I came across this gorgeous stop motion film by Amanda Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths last week, and was really happy to find squareriggers, birdcages, and moustaches all in the same dreamy video at once:
And now it turns out that they've created some commercials for for Amazon's Kindle::
I still don't want a Kindle. But I'm happy these videos were made because of them.

oh-me-oh-my. This guy is special:

via fortysixthatgrace.
Reminds me of an episode of Northern Exposure where the guy who eventually plays Aiden on Sex and the City decks out Cicely, AK in thousands and thousands of lights. Hmm... this might not sound like high praise, but.. it is. Check it. You tell 'em Aiden.
